Broadland Grants

Grants and Assistance for New Broadland Businesses ............Updated Information May 2007.

Broadland District Council is offering a £1,000 grant to those wishing to start up their own business in the Broadland district.

The Start-Up Grant aims to help people start their own full-time business who are either unemployed, shortly to be made redundant or returning to work following a childcare break.

The £1,000 grant is paid in two instalments of £500. The first paid on start up and the second on the anniversary of this date, subject to the business still trading in the Broadland area.

The Business Support Team also offers a free three-day course to Broadland residents who are aspiring entrepreneurs. The Basics 4 Business course gives residents the chance to work through their business ideas over the three days with a qualified business advisor who will also help you with advice and guidance after the course through a number of free one-to-one support sessions. The course allows you to meet with the Inland Revenue to talk you through your tax obligations and to meet with members of the Business Support Team to find out what other help is available from Broadland District Council.

For further information please contact the Business Support Team on 01603 430487 or email business@broadland.gov.uk.
